Scarecrow Festival and Harvest Weekend

Thurlaston Parish Council are once again coordinating a community Harvest Weekend and Scarecrow competition from Friday 14th September to Sunday 16th September 2017.

The Scarecrow competition this year will have an open theme and begin on Friday 14th September with the assembling of displays. Judging will take place on Saturday 15th September and prizes will be awarded. Maps will be provided and can be linked to a Treasure Hunt competition.. Read More »

Annual Awards 2016

The nominations are 'open' for the Annual Awards event, to be held Wednesday 7th December 2016, 7pm at Thurlaston Village Hall.

This event is held each year by the Parish Council to acknowledge the outstanding work, effort and commitment of the local villagers, with the nominations being made by the villagers to the Parish Council.

Queens 90th Celebrations

As part of the celebrations to Commemorate Queens Elizabeth II 90th birthday, in May 20116 the Parish Council, with members of the Parish hosted an Afternoon Tea Party for all the residents and their friends and family.

The musical entertainment was provided courtesy of Croft Silver Band which their selective music from the era of the Queen's birth excellently executed which added to the 'party' atmosphere.. Read More »
