Thurlaston Wood - Tree Planting
Thurlaston Tree Planting
The population of Thurlaston recently made their own valuable contribution to the fight against climate change by planting a new wood on the outskirts of the village. Around 50 villagers, led by Bob Whelband, planted 320 young trees and 215 hedging plants, all kindly donated by East Midlands Landscaping on land allocated by Yennards Farm.

A vacancy has arisen within Thurlaston Parish Council following the resignation of Councillor Nick Bates.
No request for an election has been received following the formal 'Notice of Vacancy'.
Thurlaston Parish Council are therefore permitted to fill the vacancy by co-option as soon as practicable and details are provided herewith.
